Our client is an established shipping company looking to hire a Senior Research/Data Analyst to support their Charterers, Freight Traders and work closely with the research and risk teams globally.

Responsibilities:
- Interpret in house historical data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide inputs for trends
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns within the in house freight trading department
- Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators
- Work with the Freight Traders to prioritize business and information needs and help them make informed decisions
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities and mitigate risks
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Quants/Economics, Information Management or Statistics
- Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Possess excellent presentation skills
- Good communication skill and interpersonal skill
- Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings
