Regional Commercial Finance Analyst (Wine & Spirits)

The role will be to provide analytical support and reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. This position will also assist in annual planning and quarterly forecasting and provide commercial finance support in driving revenue growth for the business management teams of Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, East Timor, Indo-china (Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam) and SEA Home Office.

at You Will Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Monthly variance analysis of the P&L and business results, identifying key drivers with clear concise communication, identifying potential risks and opportunities. Participate in and lead financial aspects of monthly business reviews.

  • Supports regular and ad-hoc analysis to better understand the business and make informed decisions. Communicate analytical results with cross-functional partners

  • Weekly and monthly depletion reporting. Coordinate with distributors and IT in automating and enhancing depletion reporting.

  • Provide support in managing the A&P budget by reviewing spend with sales and marketing managers, providing monthly A&P tracking, analysis and reporting

  • Review SG&A on a monthly basis; identify and communicate reasons for variances and follow-up action steps

  • Collaborate with the Accounting Manager in the monthly and quarterly accrual process

  • Support the preparation of presentations, analyses and documents

  • Work on improvement of reporting processes, data maintenance and insight collection

  • Financial Planning and Forecasting

  • Assists in annual planning and quarterly forecasting processes, providing analysis and collaborative support to the Sr Finance Manager and sales and marketing teams.

  • Commercial Finance / Revenue Growth Management/ Analytical Insights

  • Maintain knowledge of external industry trends, utilizing data sources such as IWSR

  • Through hindsight analytics and forward-looking scenario analysis, support decision making in areas such as volume, pricing, margin control, investment efficiency and new SKU introductions

  • Maintain and analyze price structures/value chain for each market, ensuring the structures properly reflect the current market conditions

  • Track, analyze and report on discounting and brand expense

  • Review performance vs. budgets/projections and understand outstanding spend commitments

  • Act as key financial contact for distributor partners within assigned geographies, taking part in business reviews, planning meetings, trade visits

  • Financial Management & Controllership:

  • Ensure our financial results are accurately reported.

  • Support the accounting team on the annual statutory filing of our Singapore branch office and all tax compliance filing by working effectively with PwC Audit and EY Tax in collaboration with the accounting team

Your Profile

  • 5 + years experience in similar positions

  • Experience in alcoholic beverages or branded consumer products, at a multinational organization, preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field

  • Demonstrated a high level of proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, G-Suite) as well as experience in SAP and BI reporting.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects to completion by agreed deadlines.

  • Superior analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to make sound business decisions

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

  • Familiarity working with foreign currencies, exchange rates, and conversion factors.
