Senior Director Finance - APAC

 

Our Client is one of the fastest growing US listed Multinational company and is regionally headquartered in Singapore covering China, Australia, and SEA markets including India. They are into B2B products and have 2 manufacturing plants in Asia coupled with a wide distribution network. Their stock has doubled in the pandemic as they have found innovative supply chain solutions and delivered record breaking results globally.

 

As part of expansion they are looking for a dynamic, solid and experienced finance leader to work closely with the VP of the business in Singapore for APAC.

 

Responsibilities

· Partnership with the Vice President, Managing Director of Asia Pacific

· Oversight of all ?nancial aspects in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region such as monitoring, maintaining, and reviewing of ?nancial records, budgeting, ?nancial reporting, forecasting, cost containment e?orts, cost accounting, cycle counting management, SIOP.

· Directs the ?nancial planning to meet unexpected situations, new developments and change in the business environment by reviewing ?nancial data and potential or actual impact of decisions with segment management to assist in the development of long-term business plans, annual objectives, monthly forecasting, capital expenditures.

· Develops and manages budget and forecasting accuracy for APAC organization. Looks for opportunities for savings within function by maximizing synergies throughout the network

Ensure accounting compliance with all internal and external requirements (US GAAP, IFRS, other country requirements, policies, procedures, SOX, internal and external audits, limits of authority)

· Provide timely and thorough weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting to include: Key P&L, net working capital, cash ?ow and scorecard drivers; bridge analysis, forecast, plan, and other ad hoc analysis based on performance/trends

· Financial lead on strategic initiatives to improve pro?tability and meet APAC Region goals

 

Role Requirements

· Ability to partner with the Vice President, Managing Director of Asia Pacific in the operational and strategic aspects of the business

· Compliance: Oversees region compliance program and ensures employees act with integrity and in the best interest of the company, and to ensure the operating guidelines and compliance guidelines are observed

· Must be able to lead the organization in meetings and events and represent the organization to customers and executive management during periods of Managing Director of APAC absences

· Change Management - understanding of general business operations and driving results to meet company strategies

· Planning and execution competencies: Can set objectives, assess opportunities, strategies, and plans

· Track record of developing high level of credibility and forging solid and positive professional relationships with subordinates’ peers and upper management, and operating effectively in a matrixed reporting structure

 

 

Education & Experience Requirements

· CA/CPA/MBA with 15+ years within leading MNC's preferably having worked in a large US MNC will be an added advantage.

· Financial Director or Senior Finance Management experience

· Having experience in a product based industry in a distribution model within the B2B channel

· Successful candidate should expect to travel up to 40%

. Strong experience in leading, motivating and building future managers/leaders is the key

. China is one of the biggest markets and having working knowledge in China will be a big plus

. Conversational skills in Mandarin is important as China is one of they key markets

. Track record of developing high level of credibility and forging solid and positive professional relationships with subordinates’ peers and upper management, and operating effectively in a matrixed reporting structure
