Senior Manager Finance, Planning and Strategy (Tech/Ecommerce)

You will be a part of the Finance business partner team who are trusted advisers to key decision makers in Sales, Commercial, Marketing and Operations.

We are looking for a highly analytical and experienced Senior Manager-Strategy and Commercial Finance business partner, to be based in Singapore, overseeing the overall business in all APAC markets. The Finance Business Partner will partner end-to-end with Regional and Country Teams by either supporting or owning the P&L for a business unit vertical, new country or a function. The ideal candidate will have experience partnering with either Sales, Strategy, Commercial or Marketing teams and have demonstrated the ability to influence and add value.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Partnering Sales and Commercial teams to drive the top and bottom line KPI’s.
  • Lead scenario modelling and business cases for multiple new initiatives and additional investments during the year.
  • Collaborate with countries' sales & operational teams to drive Ad Sales and closely monitor country performance
  • Identify opportunities to optimise and increase commission revenue and in-app advertising revenue.
  • Driving the Business to meet target KPIs by providing proactive insights to highlight opportunities for improvement to support decision making (e.g. pricing)
  • Leading monthly and quarterly Financial Planning cycles with forward-looking estimates and communicating the plans to multiple Country teams with clear commentary.
  • Managing end to end change management projects including new country expansion, new vertical launches or new product rollouts.
  • This is a highly Commercial role with no month-end close!

 

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of experience e-commerce / technology / Food and Beverage / Top Tier Consulting / Investment Banking or similar industries
  • Background in fast-paced, MNC, entrepreneurial or startup/technology environments preferred.
  • Must have experience supporting Sales, Strategy, Commercial or Marketing teams.
  • Comfortable to sit within the business unit and explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. Able to explain what an accrual is to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Experience in providing recommendations based on financial modelling and data to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills working within a regional and matrix management.
  • Experience in data analytics including Tableau and SQL
