Role Overview

Responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering maritime training programs for seagoing and shore-based personnel, ensuring compliance with industry standards and training requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and continuously improve maritime training programs.
• Conduct assessments and evaluate seafarer competency and knowledge retention.
• Coordinate with operations, technical, crewing, and other departments on training requirements.
• Conduct training at various locations and coordinate with external training providers.
• Ensure readiness and effective use of simulators, training equipment, and facilities.
• Support internal and external audits and maintain compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
• Participate in crew seminars, ship visits, and sailing assignments where required.
• Develop and maintain the Annual Training Plan and contribute to training budgets.
• Stay updated on maritime regulations, industry developments, and modern training methodologies.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior maritime sailing role or 2 years of relevant maritime educational/training experience.
• IMO Model Course 6.09 (VICT/TOTA) – Mandatory.
• IMO Model Course 6.10 (TSTA) and 3.10 (AECS) – Preferred.
• Strong knowledge of STCW, maritime regulations, and training requirements.
• Experience in competency assessment and adult learning methodologies.
• Strong communication, presentation, and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Good command of English.
