We are seeking a Vessel Manager for an Container ownership company in Singapore. The candidate will be responsible for managing an assigned fleet of vessels, ensuring operational readiness with a strong focus on safety, fuel efficiency, and compliance with regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and Ensure Safety at All Levels: Promote safety onboard, participate in event investigations, and aim for operational excellence while ensuring compliance with international, flag state, and port state rules.
  2. Oversee Crew Management: Manage the onboard team, conduct appraisals, and ensure crew training and welfare in alignment with industry standards.
  3. Manage Maintenance of Ships: Coordinate repairs, monitor ship defects, and conduct risk analysis to ensure seaworthiness.
  4. Manage Ship Budget and Expenditure: Monitor operating costs, prepare budget reports, and ensure resource planning to support vessel operations.

Key Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience working as Technical/Fleet Superintendent/Vessel Manager
  • Based in Singapore
  • Sailing experience as a Chief Engineer on container vessels for a min of 12 months.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
