Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of voyage optimization service workflows and delivery processes.
- Contribute towards improving the user interface and operational functionality of the optimization platform.
- Test and validate routing outputs to ensure recommendations are practical, accurate, and easy for both shipboard and shore-based teams to interpret.
- Coordinate vessel onboarding and provide ongoing operational support for the service.
- Train internal teams on voyage optimization processes and best practices.
- Monitor voyages and analyze routing performance considering weather, speed, fuel efficiency, distance, and commercial impact.
- Liaise with vessels, operations teams, and customers to explain routing recommendations and address operational queries.
- Prepare post-voyage analysis and performance reports demonstrating the effectiveness of optimization measures and recommendations.
Requirements:
- Preferably sailing background from the deck side, though candidates from other backgrounds with relevant experience will also be considered.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in voyage optimization, weather routing, or a similar operational role.
- Strong understanding of commercial voyage performance and the impact of weather and routing decisions on vessel efficiency.
- Exposure to maritime digital solutions or technical/IT-related systems would be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to train and guide operational teams and stakeholders effectively.
