Responsibilities:
- Research markets and identify priority lists for potential new clients by identification of key clients and their decision makers.
- Prospect for new clients through cold calling, specific marketing, industry contacts and news announcements.
- Plan and execute persuasive approaches and pitches to potential new clients for business opportunities.
- Develop rapport with new potential clients.
- Set new business targets and grow business with a selection of key existing external clients.
- Assist senior management with strategic planning for developing the new business pipeline into the group – i.e form the commercial strategy for the company
- Attend selected key industry exhibitions for latest trends and developments and network development.
- Highlight to senior management on business trends with a view to developing additional services and other markets.
- Submit monthly progress reports for the specific targeted areas by tracking and recording all activities on potentials and key selected existing third-party clients.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree in business related field or its equivalent.
- Minimum 5 to 8 years Business Development experience and with a track record of success and getting things done. Previous engineering experience is considered a merit
- Familiar with key networks within Asia and further afield of key players and contractors in the Shipping, Offshore Oil & Gas , as well as Offshore Renewables sector.
- Highly organized and structured with strong level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Problem solving and analytical skills, coupled with demonstrated ability to work to tight and conflicting deadlines.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work in a diverse and multicultural environment.
