Financial Controller
Our client is one of the a leading offshore contractor and maritime services provider. They are looking for a Financial Controller who would be leading a team. You will develop, implement and maintain the departmental and Business Unit policies, processes and procedures as per the company’s guidelines and applicable standards.

Your Responsibilities
- Organize and re-organize transaction-based activities and improve business and project control.
- Ensuring cash flow, liquidity position and treasury affairs are at the agreed levels and ensure the preparation and execution of payment orders.
- Ensuring that the tax policies are executed in compliance with the company’s guidelines and local requirements and take care of the Federal Compliance Reporting.
- Take ownership for tenders in the Asian region regarding all finance related topics (tax, treasury, cost accounting, compliance). Being able to communicate with internal and external advisors and define the impact to the sr. management team.
- Support the general manager and affiliated stakeholders in the growth ambitions of the company.
- Ensuring the quality of output of the administration processes delegated to the financial shared service center (Abu Dhabi).
- Ensuring that all statutory fillings for the annual statement are executed in compliance with the local GAAP, IFRS and company’s guidelines.
- Key-contact person for all statutory audits for the financial statements and tax fillings.
- Ensure that the budget versus actual on our spend is closely monitored and addressed to the stakeholders on a timely matter.
- Review of the monthly financial reporting to the global management team of the contract execution, cost control, procurement performance and working capital.
- Responsible for monitoring compliance to processes and policies as part of the global finance team.
Your qualities
You can make your mark as Financial Controller if you have:
- University graduate with major in Business Administration, Finance.
- Specialized financial accounting education.
- Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in an internationally operating environment.
- Experience in leading others, cultural awareness and respectful of others..
- Hands-on mentality.
- Strong affinity with IT and optimizing financial processes and advanced user knowledge in common MS Office applications and ERP systems (SMIT uses InforLN).
- Persuasive way of communication, while building and respecting relationships.
- Experience interfacing with international tax professionals.
- Native English speaking.
- You are a holder of a Singaporean passport or have a permanent Singaporean residence status.
