Financial Planning and Analysis Manager (Plant Controlling/Tuas)
Our client is a US listed company and a world leader water treatment products. They serve a wide range of customers across manufacturing, automotive, Food, Pharmaceuticals and others with their high quality products.
They have recently shifted an existing business unit from the US into Singapore and hence this role is a newly created one. The role is a blend of commercial fp&a for SEA and India region and double hats as a plant controller for two contract manufacturing site in Singapore which has shifted recently.
Reporting into the APAC Finance Director based in Singapore, your role will be as below:
Your responsibilities will include providing financial insights and projections to the required stakeholders. You will provide reliable data and analysis to be used in decision-making and planning.
You will prepare accurate monthly financial reports, assist in the preparation of presentations that provide thoughtful analysis, identify action items, and effectively frame decisions that need to be made.
• The transfer of manufacturing to Singapore has created a need for a dedicated plant controller to manage the finance related activities for the plant which include:
Reporting requirements (Pulse, R&O, Forecasting, Budgeting) – Inventory management and stock take
SOX control and audit related activities
Cost control and proper MOH/FOH calculations
Transfer pricing methodology to ensure tax compliance
Managing the requirements of PCO application
Management of cash-flow
Manage price inflation pressures and incorporate within the design of the standard cost
Evaluate all plant transaction according to IFRS and GAAP accounting procedures
Partner the Plant Manager to collaborate on metrics, goals, and business reviews
Additionally, this role will manage FP&A activities for business units within APAC:
APAC SIOP (demand planning) process
Sales related KPIs tracking and measurement
Inventory management
Cash flow harmonization and currency hedging
Budget and Forecasting
Strategy Planning
Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly Closing activities
Revenue/Margin/Ebitda projections
Financial modelling and simulation
Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization
Partner directly with the business leads to collaborate on metrics, goals, and business reviews
Successful Applicant
Bachelor degree in Accounting and/or Finance (MBA or other advanced degree preferred)
Accounting certification (CPA / equivalent) is a plus
10 years of experience within different manufacturing environments is desired
Strong financial analysis and modelling skills
Sound accounting knowledge with strong background in factory cost accounting and product costing in a standard cost system
Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively in cross-functional teams
Experience in preparing, evaluating (IRR, NPV, Cash Flow) and controlling (cost tracking, present/final view) capital investment projects (capacity expansion, manufacturing automation, quality improvement)
First-hand experience of several different manufacturing environments, organisational structures and financial reporting methodologies in a factory context strongly desired
Mandarin speaking is a must have as this role has frequent dealings with the office in China
