Our client is a leading software company in the maritime space and are expanding rapidly around the globe.
This is a newly created role and will report directly into the CFO based in Singapore.
Job Responsibilities:
Credit Control
- Follow up with customers to ensure overdue amounts are paid promptly
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies relating to non-payment of invoices
- Perform credit evaluation and analysis for new customers and regular credit review for existing customers
- Conduct aged balance review with HOD and follow up review actions
- Prepare and send monthly statements of account & reminder letter to customers
- Report and alert any exceptional and problematic customers and apply appropriate actions to minimize bad debt
- Liaise closely with Internal & External customers, proactively build and foster strong relationships
- Ensure cash is accurately applied to customer accounts on a timely basis
- Ensure customers are billed in an accurate and timely manner
- Process of inter-companies billing and facilitate reconciliation of inter-companies’ balances
- Knowledge of Credit Insurance Claims is a plus
- Other duties as assigned
- Timely preparation of financial management reports on a monthly basis
- Analysis and validation of reports
- Preparation of forecasts, budgets
- Co-ordination with the systems team or process management
- Graduation in either Accounting/Financial Management/Economics/Statistics
- At least 5-8 years of experience in credit control and management reporting
- Advanced skills in MS Excel (ability to use Macros)
- Self-Motivated, analytical mindset
- A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Meticulous, organized, able to meet deadlines and work under pressure
