Manager FP&A (European MNC)

 

Our client is a European MNC and market leader in the manufacturing of heavy equipment.

 

This exciting role will be based in Joo Koon - Singapore, reporting to the Finance Director. This is an individual contributor role.

 

What you will do

Specializing in Consolidation & Reporting, will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis across the organization. Collaborate closely with various departments and stakeholders to consolidate financial data, analyze performance metrics, and provide valuable insights to support decision-making processes

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the consolidation of financial data from multiple business units & markets to produce accurate and comprehensive financial reports.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Work with Global Finance team to investigate errors/discrepancies in financial results/forecasts
  • Detailed analysis of business profitability (product mix, price & scos development, GP fluctuations)
  • Prepare monthly & quarterly journal entries during closing
  • Perform variance analysis to identify key drivers of financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations for executive management and board meetings, providing insightful analysis and commentary on financial results.
  • Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure compliance with GAAP and internal control policies.
  • Drive process & reporting improvements and efficiency initiatives within the FP&A function, leveraging technology and automation tools where possible.
  • Be a key contact for new system implementation for Region FP&A team
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required by senior management.

 

Education/ Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/ Accounting
  • Prior Audit experience with big 4
  • Good knowledge of accounting standards
  • Proven experience (6-8 years) in financial planning and analysis, with a focus on consolidation and reporting.

 

Additional Requirements

  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, consolidation techniques, and financial reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software/database and ERP systems i.e. SAP
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis. Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Able to work in an unstructured environment and in a setting that entails imperfect processes and systems, with aim of improvement in the long term
  • Able to work independently
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to all stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work cross-functionally and build positive working relationships.
