Regional Financial Planning and Analysis Manager (Consumer Goods)


Our client is a fast growing European brand and due to rapid expansion plans they are looking to hire a dynamic finance business partner.


Reporting directly to the Regional Financial Director, the FP&A Manager will have full stewardship of the overall commercial finance and full suite of FP&A activities in the region. This role includes financial planning and business analysis to partner the commercial team in delivering objectives as well as partnering with the various business unit leaders on critical financial analysis.


Business Partner to Commercial Team:


- Business partnering with BU team including but not limited to ROI analysis, forward looking decision support, incentive review, controlling A&P and trade spend

- Provide financial insights and work collaboratively with the commercial team in order to support the business to grow with available resources

- Stakeholder management and work with Business Unit heads on projects that are critical for regional success

- Working closely with the regional leadership team to formulate the business's medium to long term financial and strategic plan ;

Provide insights to senior management around financial modelling, forecasts and profitability Work with Business Unit heads & other stakeholders to build their annual budgets and forecasts;

- Delivery of competitor analysis, market trends and associated commentary to the Leadership team.


Regional FP&A Activities

-Drive monthly business financial reviews preparation supporting the process with industry and market trends and analysis, scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis

- Monthly analysis of financial results, rolling forecast & all reporting activities not limited to monthly reporting, D2N etc. This includes monitoring of achievement of financial performance vs KPIs

- Communicating results and recommendations to senior management for improvements in sales, cost reduction, and streamlining operations

- Analyse pricing results (PVM) and provide recommendations to maximise pricing opportunities; - Drive forecasting (including Demand sales review) and budgeting cycles through bottom up analysis & evaluate previous budgets, expenditures to develop and implement future budgets

- Undertake APAC finance related roles/ projects (e.g. driving demand sales visibility across APAC or operating cost analysis), collaborating with other Finance Directors across APAC; supporting selected analytical activities (i.e. providing shared service) across APAC when required.

- Transparent reporting of risks and opportunities in business to senior management.

- Leading and delivering on Digital Finance transformation by identifying areas for technology adoption and streamlining including utilising BI tools to delivery meaningful insights into business performance; Reviewing existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement efforts.


Successful Applicant

• Degree in Financial and Management Accounting or equivalent Experience:

• Degree in Accountancy and with CPA / CA qualifications with at least 3 years within Consumer goods, Pharmaceutical, Medical Device Industry.

• Minimum of 8 - 10 years’ experience in finance, including at least 3 years of relevant regional FP&A consolidation reporting experience or management reporting experience

• Depth of FP&A business partnering, consolidation and reporting experience is required • Strong Excel skills and ability to handle large data

• Proven track record with process improvements, automation and systems implementation

• Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills

• Strong ability to influence senior key regional stakeholders

• High level of enthusiasm and motivation

• Time management skills – the ability to stay focused, meet deadlines effectively
