Regional Human Resource Director (Education Industry)

 

Our client is a leading, reputed and fast growing Education brand regionally headquartered for Asia in Singapore. Newly created role reporting into the Asia CEO.

 

We are looking for a Regional Director, Human Resource to lead our HR teams in Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam. The Regional Director will be based in Singapore.

The Regional Director is a seasoned global leader with experience in managing a diverse human capital population and capable of working effectively across borders (Asia), languages, cultures and working conditions.

 

Job Responsibilities

Provides overall strategic leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, compensation and benefits regionally.

 

1. Leads in regional strategic HR planning in alignment with company Goals and regional strategic workplan.

· Develops, executes, enforces and/or guides HR strategic plans, goals and outcomes for Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam

· Establishes and oversees HR governance and systems, streamlines HR services, processes and operations.

2. Oversees manpower planning and development to ensure sufficient numbers of the right talents are placed in the right roles.

· Strategizes and executes the manpower needs of the organisation in line with overall strategic directions

· Ensures manpower planning and deployment policies and practices are effective and fair to meet organizational needs whilst balancing interests and strengths of individual employee.

· Drives employer branding exercise

3. Drives talent management initiatives, to grow a robust talent pool for succession planning.

· Collaborates closely with stakeholders to identify top performers and high potentials.

· Reviews talent and leadership developmental needs and oversees the implementation of an effective development plan to build capability at organizational and individual level.

· Identifies possible succession gaps and opportunities and put in place plans, systems and processes to facilitate effective and timely leadership succession.

4. Builds an engaged and committed workforce through active employee engagement and communications.

· Establishes the employee engagement and communication strategy.

· Evaluates and determines the appropriate communication channels and messages for different employee groups.

· Manages stakeholder responses to build an inclusive culture to boost employee morale and commitment.

5. Spearheads the development of a comprehensive, competitive and cost-effectives benefits plan

· Cultivates an inclusive and open culture for the group

· Builds trust in system through open and effective communication strategies.

· Ensures alignment of policies to company values.

· Manages diversity of workforce and ensures fair distribution of resources and opportunities.

· Drives the alignment of organizational culture.

Education and Experience:

· A BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university; MBA or MA/MS in human resources or related field preferred.

· A minimum of 15 years of HR experience, with at least five years regional HR experience with team management experience
