Senior Accountant (US MNC)

 

Our client is a leading US MNC in the consumer health/goods industry with its regional HQ for APAC based in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for month/quarter-end closing matters, including preparation and submission of monthly/quarterly closing schedules and reports.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to the Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables functions by reviewing their work including but not limited to journal vouchers and corresponding supporting documents, Balance sheet schedules for correctness and accuracy.
  • Responsible for inventory count/disposal/revaluation and review of inventory reconciliation at month end including GIT and all inventory-related journals.
  • Preparation, reconciliation and submission of Interco schedules and balances.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and cash flow forecasts.
  • Provide variance analysis and commentaries of actual expenses against budget to support the monthly close process.
  • Perform monthly analytical reviews and analysis of the financial statements.
  • Prepare quarterly GST / withholding tax submission.
  • Assisting and liaison with tax agents/corporate secretary during annual tax/ACRA submission.
  • Assisting and liaison with internal/external auditors during audits.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls procedures and accounting policies and put in place any standard operating procedures as and when required.
  • Leading finance-related projects to meet business needs as and when necessary.
  • Any other duties as assigned to maximise the efficiency of the Finance team.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Solid accounting skills with good knowledge of accounting standards. US GAAP knowledge will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications.
  • Solid knowledge and direct experience using ERP systems (Oracle is our global ERP system).
  • Energetic, self-starter, showing good inquisitiveness and desire to understand the business more deeply.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications.
  • Able to balance and prioritize multiple conflicting requirements.
  • Good team player with strong analytics, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to prioritise and work well under pressure and time constraints.
  • Independent, pro-active and highly motivated.

 

Work Environment:

· Standard commercial office environment/setting.

· Virtual team collaboration between country and regional colleagues.

Experience:

· 5-7 years of related working experience

· Experience with Oracle/working in a US MNC would be an advantage.

Education:

· Diploma / Degree in Accounting
