The ideal candidate should have around 6 to 8 years of experience, with substantial hands-on experience in maintaining full set of accounts and monthly General Ledger closing, SAP system and IFRS reporting.
You must be a strong team player and be comfortable in supporting an INTERNATIONAL team as you will be working cross-functionally with in-country Finance team, Regional team in APAC as well as central team in Europe.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for full spectrum of accounting function including General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Intercompany transactions, Fixed Assets, Bank Payment processing and Bank Reconciliations of an overseas business entity
- Work closely with in-country accounting service provider to ensure that daily transactions and month-end closing tasks are completed for the entity in a timely manner and Group submission timelines are met consistently.
- Responsible for accuracy completeness of monthly actual financial results, preparation of rolling forecasts, and submission of actuals and forecast into the Group financial reporting system as per Group timelines
- Provide in-depth analysis on variance between actuals, budget and forecast for monthly management reviews
- Liaise with outsourced service provider for a timely submission of local GST returns, completion of statutory audit and liaising with tax agent and & local tax authorities
- Provide regional support to local finance teams, as necessary, and carry out monthly regional reviews of country financial statements
- Ensure compliance with IFRS reporting, Group accounting policies, audit, tax, and other statutory requirements
- Continually automate, streamline, and improve current reporting, operational and accounting processes to improve efficiency in financial reporting.
- Professionally qualified Chartered Accountant / CPA/ ACCA/ CIMA.
- Minimum 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in maintaining full sets of accounts, including General Ledger, AR, AP, Fixed Assets and Bank Reconciliations. Prior experience working with an Audit firm will be a plus
- Prior experience in working with outsourced accounting service provider whilst taking full ownership of accounting, reporting, forecasting, and budgeting will be a strong plus
- Strong knowledge and experience in IFRS and cost centre reporting.
- Hands-on local GST reporting experience and leading statutory audits.
- Hands-on working experience with finance systems such as SAP is a must.
- Highly proficient in advanced Excel (e.g. Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP’s etc.).
- Background in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up/technology environments will be a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong analytical abilities.
