Our client is a market leading European shipping conglomerate looking for an experienced Crewing Executive to report to the headquarters in Europe and manage day to day crewing functions including payroll for a crew of 100+ professionals.
Job Responsibilities:
· Formalize and establish crewing best practice and initiative to cascade to regional crewing team.
· Formalize all local regulatory and policy to ensure company complies with relevant legislation and regulation.
· Supervise the crewing team in Indonesia.
· Coordinate with manning agencies for crew recruitment, planning and mobilization.
· Liaise with HQ on APAC crew matters, coordinate crew changes in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia.
· Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth crewing operations
· Maintain in-house personnel management system
· Ensure crew certificates are complying with MLC 2006 requirement.
· Liaise with training department and manning agencies for training arrangement.
· Administrate crew Payroll and its related budgeting reports.
· Record and analyst crew evaluations.
· Conduct vessel visits to ensure shipboard operations and crew living conditions are in full compliance with Maritime Labor Convention, addressing any concerns of crew.
· Handle crew disciplinary issues and solve disputes.
· Generate crew related reports.
· Perform respective daily crewing functions.
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in maritime studies
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Fast learner, adaptable and able to work independently
- Good knowledge on STCW and MLC
- Team player with good communication skills
- Prior experience in handling Indonesian Crew will also be an advantange
