Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and proactive Technical Superintendent to join our technical team. The ideal candidate will have prior seagoing experience on tankers or gas carriers and at least 3 years of experience in a shore-based superintendent role. You will be responsible for overseeing the technical management of assigned vessels, ensuring they operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with international maritime regulations and company standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day technical operations of assigned tankers and/or gas carriers.

  • Monitor vessel performance, fuel efficiency, and machinery health.

  • Plan and supervise routine maintenance, dry-dockings, and repairs.

  • Coordinate with onboard crew and ensure compliance with planned maintenance systems (PMS).

  • Ensure vessels comply with all regulatory requirements (IMO, Flag, Class, Port State).

  • Liaise with classification societies, flag states, and third-party service providers.

  • Manage budgets for assigned vessels, track expenditures, and control costs.

  • Investigate technical incidents and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.

  • Assist in the development and execution of energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.


Requirements:

  • Marine Engineer (Class 1 COC preferred)

  • Prior sailing experience as Chief Engineer on tankers/gas carriers.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical superintendent role (shore-based).

    SHOULD HAVE SINGAPORE PR

  • Strong knowledge of tanker/gas vessel operations, PMS, ISM Code, and vetting inspections.

  • Experience with dry-docking, budgeting, and procurement processes.

  • Proficient in MS Office and vessel management software

  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

  • Willingness to travel for vessel inspections, audits, and dry-dock supervision.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with LNG/LPG carriers highly desirable.

  • Exposure to OCIMF vetting and TMSA compliance.

  • Knowledge of decarbonization technologies and digital fleet management tools.
