Our client is a boutique Singapore based dry bulk and tanker ship owning and commercial management group.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Prepare a full set of ship accounts including required accounting schedules.
Assist in the preparation of compliance documents for bank loan, IRAS, ACRA, MAS and MPA for the manager’s review and approval.
Prepare a monthly cash budget.
Process monthly payments and receipts.
Assist operations in the preparation of charter hire invoices.
Compare quotations/purchase orders received from different suppliers and collate them for the manager’s review and approval.
Assist to monitor the ship's actual operating expenses vs the ship's budget.
Liaise with auditors (external and internal) and third party admin vendors.
Qualification and Personal Requirement:
At Least 3 years of working experience in an accounts department of a shipping company.
Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional accounting qualification. Not essential if they have a good experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Knowledge of MYOB (accounting software) is an advantage.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to adhere to strict timelines
Ability to organize records and files neatly
