In Conversation with Vijayita Roy Biswas,

recently joined us at Caliber8 Recruitment

" Having started working at the age of 21 and having worked in varied cities like - Kolkata, Mumbai & London without a single break, I never imagined I’d turn down an offer in hand for a plush job that I thought I wanted. That’s called life - unpredictable… I saw my 10-month old’s cherub face and decided in a flash of a second let’s WAIT … That was the beginning of my hiatus from corporate life. I enjoyed each moment of it and how…  

In my entire span of over a decade of experience, I have always enjoyed meeting people & building relationships be it private banking or consulting. So, while I was doing freelance consulting I came across the tag line of Caliber8 that caught my eye -- “From the Industry, For the Industry”  

I realised that I have always enjoyed meeting new people and, in the process, if I end up making a tangible difference in their careers then nothing like it. I felt my people skills, business development skills and the wealth of network that I have gathered over the years in the Financial sector would be an asset in the field of recruitment. 

Also, having worked in the industry puts me in a better position to be able to find the right people for the right position. That exactly aligns with the idea of “From the Industry, For the Industry”.

That’s how I became a part of this great team at Caliber8 Recruitment.
