Project Finance Controller (EPC/Project Based Industry)

Our Client is a leading Engineering company HQ in Denmark and has world wide presence. Singapore is their regional HQ and as part of an expansion they are looking for a dynamic business finance lead to manage multiple projects in the Region.

You will join our Global Business Finance department

Our Global Finance organization consists of 500+ professional of which 340+ are in Business Finance. As our new Business Finance Manager, you will be responsible for staff and organization within the Business Finance team. You will have overall responsibility for improving project and business performance by offering a stronger financial advisory controlling. You will ensure that the business receives excellent assistance and service and that business development activities are executed properly.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

•       Lead the Business Finance function, determine local business finance priorities and provide support in implementing globally aligned finance policies, processes & ERP systems 

•       Understand stakeholder’s expectation, build strong relationship and collaborates effectively in the region

•       Provide support to senior management on change management initiatives and post-merger integration of businesses in the region

•       Maintain strong business acumen and financial credibility to work as trusted business advisory controlling

•       Manage team of finance professionals (4 to 5 FTEs located geographically), consolidate & develop teams and provide effective leadership for increasing their competencies and performances

•       Perform financial planning and track continued development of Budget, Financial forecasting and Operating plan in the region

•       Drive and review the financial performance of business units and provide quality assurance of the internal monthly reporting

•       Review and control overall financial performance of projects, project profitability and order book in the region

•       Participate with project team in all financial issues of the project from pre-contract award to contract closure

•       Provide setup for complex financial advisory

•       Lead initiatives for Automation and Digitization of Financial processes and collaborating on same with teams across the region

•       Guide local financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies & procedures

•       Drive implementation of process improvements, alignment of operational guidelines and gradually shift team focus from financial admin and accounting process to value-adding financial performance management support

•       Actively participate in business development initiatives and special projects as required by senior management, divisional leadership, and corporate.

·      Experience relating to managing the relevant process activities

·      Knowledge on the application of business finance systems

·      Masters or Bachelor's degree in Finance or Chartered Accountant

·      Excellent English language skills (written and oral)
