Supply & Demand Analyst, LPG/LNG/GAS
Our client is a leading energy brand and is making some serious growth stories in Asia.
Reporting into the Operations Manager, your responsibilities will be as below:
The role is responsible for planning and executing supply strategies to ensure least-cost gas imports, managing third-party vendors and suppliers, and supporting the Commercial team’s gas sales efforts.
A. Optimal planning of gas nomination to support supply operation
• Provide analytical support on adequate and optimum gas supply from upstream suppliers
• Provide analytical support input on adequate and optimum supply of natural gas to customers
• Compliance with GSA, EUAs and regulatory requirement in the supply of natural gas
B. Strategic and Analytical Support for Effective Gas Operations
• Responsible for S&D analysis of the Singapore market. Monitor Singapore gas power developments
• Provide commercial and operational analytics to support commercial, operations and pricing decision making by Singapore Operations team
C. Any other ad-hoc projects assigned from time to time
Requirements:
• Tertiary degree in a technical discipline (engineering or science)
• Strong understanding of LNG/Gas markets, supply chain and demand. Well verse with Gas Network Code, SOPs and other codes governing the retail and shipping of gas.
• Operations background on gas transportation/distribution, quality and flow measurement is preferred
• A good knowledge of natural gas supply chain, domestic gas supply & demand outlook, domestic gas and electricity market operations
• General understanding of P&L, business cost and business risks mitigation
