Tax Manager (Singapore Country Role - Compliance )
Our client is a leading logistics brand that is globally headquartered in Europe but is regionally headquartered in Singapore.
This role is going to manage Singapore tax compliance on GST, WHT, Direct and corporate taxes. You would be reporting into the Finance director for Singapore who manages 3 legal entities.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the filing of GST, VAT, WHT, and CIT returns in accordance with statutory deadlines, ensure timely filing of all required deliverables; (ACAP)
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual tax provision; address and resolve any issues that arise during the tax preparation process.
- Manage tax queries and handle tax audits conducted by the tax authorities.
- Respond to information requests for external and internal audits.
- Monitoring existing tax incentives requirement, including EDB grant submission and audit.
- Assist in preparation of local Transfer Pricing Documentation.
- Handle ad hoc tax related projects as assigned from time to time.
- Managing withholding tax and corporate tax filings
- Overseeing income tax and handling queriers related to it.
Requirement
- Bachelor of Accountancy, Finance, or relevant discipline, preferably with a professional qualification as recognised by SCTP
- Minimum 6 years of Singapore GST experience, preferably from a professional services firm/accounting firm plus commercial experience within logistics, e-commerce or freight forwarding industry.
- Must be familiar with Singapore Tax laws and guideline
- Possessing an accreditation by SCTP will be an advantage, e.g. Accredited Tax Practitioner (ATP) (GST) or Accredited Tax Advisor (GST)
