JOB PURPOSE
Planning safe routing for the whole container fleet by taking weather and schedule into account
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Duties involve primarily safe ocean routing of the whole fleet.
- Optimizing routes taking schedule and weather into account
- Liaising with global and regional operation teams for schedule adjustments in case of adverse weather
- Alerting vessel and operation team while taking action in case of heavy weather
- Dealing with external vendors for up-to-date weather and maintaining a synergy between weather companies and the fleet
- Collaborating with the market for new innovations to improve in house process flow
REQUIREMENT
Proficient in word/Excel with power point presentation
- Certificate of competency class1 or 2 and a Maritime diploma /degree
- 3-5 years with some relevant sailing experience
