This role serves as the focal point for commissioning governance across the organisation, while also taking on full project-level responsibility when assigned as Project Commissioning Manager. The position supports both pre-award and execution phases, ensuring commissioning readiness, compliance, and safe delivery through to handover.
- Act as the owner of the company’s commissioning framework, including the development, review, and continuous improvement of corporate commissioning procedures, standards, and guidance notes.
- Provide commissioning input during project tendering and capital expenditure development, ensuring scope clarity, realistic execution strategies, and cost alignment.
- Support ongoing projects by advising on commissioning philosophy, execution strategies, and best practices.
- Participate in vessel inspections and technical assessments to support bid submissions, S&P evaluations, and due diligence activities.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Projects.
- Lead and manage all commissioning activities from system definition through to final acceptance and handover.
- Plan, mobilise, and manage commissioning resources in close coordination with the Project Manager.
- Define commissioning system and sub-system boundaries and oversee the planning, control, and close-out of completion and handover documentation.
- Develop and implement project-specific commissioning procedures and ensure effective control of all Inspection and Test Records (ITRs).
- Track commissioning progress at system level and provide regular status reporting to the project leadership team.
- Interface with the Quality team to coordinate mechanical completion activities and review, verify, and endorse acceptance documentation.
- Coordinate closely with Clients, Operations teams, vendors, shipyards, and other stakeholders to facilitate system walkdowns, certification, and handover.
- Maintain full responsibility for commissioning safety, including implementation and enforcement of permit-to-work, isolation, and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
- Lead offshore commissioning phases, including first oil, hydrocarbon introduction, performance testing, and final operational handover.
- Manage commissioning punch lists through to close-out in line with project and client requirements.
- Carry out other project-related duties as directed by the Project Manager.
- Experience being a Commissioning Manager with FPSO
- Degree in Engineering
