Job Purpose
The Marine Superintendent will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of parcel chemical tankers under management. The role involves close coordination with vessel Masters, owners, charterers, and internal departments to ensure adherence to international regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
This position is open to experienced Marine Superintendents as well as Masters on Parcel Chemical Tankers who are looking to transition ashore.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day marine operations of assigned parcel chemical tankers

Ensure vessels operate in compliance with:
-
ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, SOLAS
-
Flag State and Port State requirements
-
Chemical tanker and cargo-specific regulations
Monitor navigational safety, cargo operations, and mooring practices
Provide operational guidance and support to Masters and senior officers
Review and close out non-conformities, incidents, near misses, and observations
Prepare vessels for:
SIRE inspections
Vetting inspections by oil majors and chemical charterers
Port State Control inspections
Liaise with charterers, terminals, and agents on marine operational matters
Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis
Support audits, internal inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives
Assist in developing and implementing operational procedures and best practices
Requirements – Fresh Master (Shore Transition)

Valid Master Mariner CoC

Minimum 12 months of sailing experience as Master on Parcel Chemical Tankers

Strong exposure to:

Parcel chemical cargo operations
-
Vetting inspections and SIRE preparation
-
Tank cleaning and cargo changeovers
Good understanding of international maritime regulations
Strong communication and reporting skills
Willingness to learn shore-based processes and documentation
