Job Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute and evaluate vessel voyage surveys/repairs, CAP Surveys etc which meet operations, technical and class requirements.
- Attend to vessel engine room, general condition inspection and complete mechanical condition reports.
- Attend to engine related issues raised from ships and VM and render technical advisory & support to ships to solve the issues.
- Prepare condition reports and RCA analysis and updates as per Company’s requirements.
- Plan and monitor voyage/riding repairs while vessels are in service to minimize vessels yard stay/off hire and keep VM fully informed at all times.
- Liaise with Class to evaluate the repairs required.

Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Marine engineering/Naval Architecture or marine-related diploma.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience including:
- Previous experience with operation and maintenance of large 2 and 4 stroke engines
- Knowledge of engine optimization methods and monitoring tools.
- Mechanical, hydraulic , piping, ER experience.
- Knowledge of QHSSE
- Candidates with the following certificates would have an advantage
- Sea going experience, as Chief Engineer or similar
- Experience with Electrical and Dual-fuel engines
- Preferably a member of a relevant professional body (e.g. CIMAC, IMarEST, RINA)
- Preferably holds prior experience as a hull or mechanical superintendent in a shipping company or from engine maker.
