Job Summary:
We are seeking a Technical Superintendent with a strong Chief Engineer (CE) sailing background to oversee the technical management of our bulk carriers and car carriers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the operational readiness, safety, and compliance of the assigned fleet, while optimizing vessel performance and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day technical operations of bulk carriers and car carriers, including maintenance, repairs, dry dockings, and inspections.

Monitor vessel performance and implement preventive and corrective maintenance strategies.

Ensure all vessels comply with international maritime regulations, flag state requirements, and class rules.

Plan and execute dry dockings and major overhauls within budget and timelines.

Provide technical support and guidance to onboard Chief Engineers and crew.

Coordinate with procurement for spares and services, ensuring timely delivery and cost control.

Prepare and monitor annual technical budgets and report variances.

Liaise with classification societies, flag states, and external auditors during inspections and surveys.

Support in vetting inspections, PSC, and other regulatory audits.

Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders, ship staff, and shore teams.
Requirements:

Chief Engineer (CE) Certificate of Competency with sailing experience on bulk carriers and/or tanker vessels (minimum 2 years as CE preferred).

At least 1-2 years of shore-based experience as a Technical Superintendent managing similar vessels.

Strong understanding of marine engineering systems, ISM/ISPS/ISO standards, and statutory regulations.

Experience in dry-docking and vessel repair planning.

Ability to manage multiple vessels and projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Proficiency with marine technical management software and MS Office tools.
