Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Training Superintendent to join our team in New Delhi. This role is ideal for a Chief Engineer with substantial sailing experience on vessels equipped with MAN B&W ME Engines, who is now looking to share that expertise through high-impact technical training and crew development. The Training Superintendent will play a pivotal role in maintaining technical competency and safety awareness among shipboard personnel, with a strong focus on modern propulsion systems and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deliver technical training programs focused on ME Engine operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Conduct regular training sessions for engineers, cadets, and senior officers—both in person and through digital platforms.

Evaluate training effectiveness and implement continuous improvements to the content and delivery methods.

Coordinate with the technical and crewing departments to identify training needs based on vessel performance, crew feedback, and regulatory changes.

Organize and conduct engine room simulator training sessions, with specific modules on ME Engines.

Stay up to date with the latest developments in engine technology, IMO regulations, and safety protocols.

Prepare technical bulletins, case studies, and circulars based on fleet incidents or industry trends.

Maintain training records and ensure compliance with company quality standards and STCW/IMO training requirements.

Mentor junior engineers and assist in their professional development and certification pathways.

Represent the company in external audits, assessments, and at industry training forums, when required.
Requirements:

Class I (Motor) Certificate of Competency – Chief Engineer.

Minimum [12+] years of marine engineering experience, including at least 2-3 contracts as Chief Engineer on ME Engine vessels.

In-depth knowledge of MAN B&W ME engine systems, controls, and diagnostics.
