Finance Manager (Implementation ShipNet)
The purpose of the Senior Accounting Consultant is to be primarily responsible for implementing and providing professional services to our new and existing clients on our Maritime Accounting Product. The Senior Consultant will be responsible for solution deployments, implementations and integrations of our product lines and value-added consultancy services. In addition, the Consultant will be regarded as a technical expert, a trusted advisor to our client base with an entrepreneurial drive and passion for client management.
The role will work closely with the Professional Services Director, Support, R&D, Consulting Team and Sales to drive sales and innovation whilst overcoming challenges by providing effective solutions.
Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Professional Services Director to be part of the team that drive’s innovation in Professional Services customer

Whilst the core skill of the Senior Accounting Consultant will be the accounting product, in line with strategy, all Consultants will be required to demonstrate good competency of all products and solutions within a 2-year-timescale

Provide pre-sales support by working closely with our sales teams to understand and define the client’s key business drivers and requirements

Provide information for service quotes to the sales team and create software quotations for ad-hoc services to existing clients directly

Support client meetings and identify opportunities to upsell into existing accounts

Propose software solutions that meet those requirements, ensuring that they are technically viable and add value to the overall proposal

Understand and demonstrate solutions and products to clients to articulate the business benefits that they offer

Actively research the marketplace to ensure our products are competitive, add value and create unique selling points

Liaise with clients to develop project documentation including a statement of works and implementation plans as per implementation methodology

Lead new implementation and upgrade projects as well as provide expert professional services throughout the project lifecycle from requirements gathering through adoption including, but not limited to, clarification/gap analysis, configuration, user training and go-live deployment

Successfully deliver implementation to customers’ satisfaction and in line with statements of works, as close to the budget as possible

Communicate with internal teams including Support and R&D to ensure effective delivery of projects

Manage change requests and customization requests from customers and translate the business requirements into functional specifications for the R&D team
Successful Applicant

Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant

5+ years experience working as an Accounting Consultant

Passion for delivering excellence in customer service

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; English is mandatory and other languages are desirable

Demonstrate a general understanding of architecture and infrastructure for client software as well as any peripheral products

Knowledge of Information systems/Technology

Detail-oriented with an ability to work independently

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong customer management skills and must be confident and effective in the delivery of any product training or functional demonstrations
