Group Finance Director (Shipping)
Our client is large group in the maritime industry. This is a high impact, senior leadership position at the Group level.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage regional and Singapore finance teams, providing direction, mentorship, and development.
- Oversee the full spectrum of finance: controllership, group reporting, FP&A, tax, audit, and treasury.
- Drive strong governance, compliance, and internal controls across the group.
- Deliver accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting and analysis to support senior leadership.
- Partner with management on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
- Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and tax authorities, ensuring compliance and risk management.
Key Requirements
- Professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- 16+ years of progressive finance experience, with a solid grounding in controllership, reporting, and FP&A.
- Minimum 5 years of proven people management experience, leading multi-country finance teams will be a plus.
- Background in shipping, maritime, or other heavy asset/project-based industries strongly preferred.
- Strong technical expertise in accounting standards, tax, and audit matters.
- Excellent stakeholder management, with experience supporting C-suite leaders.
- Hands on and adaptable, able to balance strategic leadership with operational detail.
