  • Group Tax Analyst (Pharmaceutical)

    Our client is a global leading multinational company in the pharmaceutical industry.

    Position Purpose

    Support the Group Tax and Treasury Manager, Group Financial Controller and CFO by providing assistance in the Tax function across the business.

  • Technical research to assist the Tax Manager in the project management and implementation of advisory projects
  • Help to understand the implications of taxation and finance changes and plan accordingly
  • Assist the tax manager in the tax compliance process and help to identify process improvements
  • Help to organize and update the group tax database
  • Assist in the preparation, review, processing and submission of all required tax returns, tax payments, tax accounting entries and liaising with relevant teams and departments both internal and external, including external auditors
  • Assist in the preparation of all necessary paperwork for tax payments and returns and all associated required submissions, such as, but not limited to, statistical bureau requirements, transfer pricing agreements, related party transaction reports, withholding taxes
  • Assist the Tax Manager, Group controller and CFO with ownership of the relationship with Tax Authorities
  • Help with research to assist the Tax Manager to offer advice and be a key driver of improvements to processes and systems to improve the tax compliance process, cash forecasting process, cost saving initiatives
  • Assist in the evaluation of the impact of changes in tax legislation or developments and track changes to identify tax savings, suggest ways to increase profits and implement strategic projects as required
  • Assist the Tax Manager in the tax budgeting/forecasting and half year/year end reporting process
  • Assist the Tax Manager, Group Controller and CFO in Tax Due Diligence for M&A activities as necessary
  • Work closely with external tax advisors on preparation of Transfer Pricing Documentation on a timely basis
  • Support on internal transfer pricing roll up and regular reviews.
  • Assist the tax manager with:
    • Contingency tax and treasury planning to integrate new demands from acquisition implications
    • Creating systems, process and best practice within the area of tax
    • Developing and supporting team members
    • Instigating cost saving initiatives
