Our client is a growing shipping conglomerate on the lookout for HSEQ professionals with prior sailing backgrounds and some shore-based Superintendent experience in Singapore.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY:
Reviewing, monitoring, and administering Company Sustainability Goals and Targets.
Monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing Environmental data (both shipboard as well as in the office) and assisting in improving environmental performance.
Providing support to the vessel regarding queries raised on Safety, Quality and Vetting activities.
Reviewing Company and Vessel External Audit Reports (QHSE, Green Award) and responding to identified deficiencies or non-conformities.
Conducting Shipboard and Office Quality Management System Internal Audits.
Assisting the incident investigation team in carrying out incident investigation
Preparing and publishing newsletter, bulletins etc.
Preparing and Reviewing various ship plans (e.g., SOPEP/ SMPEP, SSP, etc.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
1-year experience at a support-management level in the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) department of a shipping company
Possess a Ship Security Officer Training Certification
Preferred requirements:
Chief Officer or 1st Assistant Engineer with at least 1 year in rank experience (optional senior rank Certificate of Competency); or
2-year experience at support or middle management level in the QHSE department of a shipping company
Possess a Ship Security Officer Training Certification
