This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly autonomous technical professional to take on a regional role supporting complex marine systems. The position involves extensive hands-on troubleshooting, close collaboration with global and regional teams, and a strong focus on knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute service jobs on board vessels as assigned by the Global Marine Service Coordinator.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues, including those involving third-party equipment or installations, ensuring permanent and effective solutions.
- Operate with full autonomy while performing troubleshooting activities across all harbors in the assigned region, including sailing with vessels when required until issues are fully resolved.
- Provide technical expertise across major Wind, Water & Fuel products, including PureBallast Systems, High Speed Separators (HSS), Freshwater Generators (FWG), and Fuel Conditioning Systems.
- Perform on-board troubleshooting in collaboration with local Field Service Engineers (FSEs), including on-the-job training for niche or specialized products.
- Proactively engage central technical support through ServiceNow or direct technical networks and share findings and learnings with the wider service team.
- Act as a regional technical expert, providing on-board training to local FSEs and cascading knowledge from Central BU technical specialists to local service centers as required.
- Execute internal Performance Audits to support service quality and operational excellence.
- Review, develop, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Technical education or equivalent hands-on experience in marine, mechanical, electrical, or related engineering disciplines.
- Proven experience in executing and troubleshooting complex onboard marine systems with a high degree of autonomy.
- Strong technical knowledge of Wind, Water & Fuel systems, with hands-on experience in at least one major product area.
- Ability to work independently across multiple harbors and regions, with willingness to sail on vessels when required.
- Experience working with Field Service Engineers, including coaching, training, and on-the-job knowledge transfer.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with global, regional, and central technical teams.
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to service quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
