Regional Finance Manager (Controllership- Fintech)
The ideal candidate will be hands-on, self-motivated with excellent communication skills and can work to deadlines! You will take the lead in accounting issues, projects, ad hoc reporting and financial analysis, plus manage the annual external audits for the region.
This role is the right hand person to the Senior Director, APAC Financial Controls and is their primary delegate.
Key Responsibilities
? Internal financial reporting and analysis, including oversight of the APAC monthly close.
? Finance transformation focused initiatives within APAC and involvement across International.
? Identifying and implementing continuous process improvement and efficiencies.
? Implementing Accounting standards (e.g.: Lease Accounting).
? Evaluating the opportunities for consistency of local GAAP applications across the Region.
? External Audit coordination and liaison point for APAC based audit activities, primary point of contact for external auditors in APAC
? Review of the monthly close process
? Assisting with the development of process, procedure and financial controls
? Management responsibility for your team, including supervision, development and succession planning.
? Ad-hoc project & analysis work About you:
Successful Applicant
? Bachelor Degree in Economics, Accounting or equivalent with a strong academic record
? CPA certification (or local equivalent such as ACCA, ACA or CIMA)
? 6 to 9 years of directly related experience, including transformation projects
? Experience with international business & accounting practices and processes including local statutory reporting in APAC, IFRS and US GAAP.
? Experience in managing accounting, compliance & audits activities across multiple APAC countries and currencies.
? Experience in FinTech or Financial Services is an advantage – however industry experience in Financial Control is crucial
? Up-to-date technical skills and confident preparing IFRS and GAAP financial statements
? People management/supervisory experience
? Excellent knowledge of Excel
? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
? Highly motivated and able to work towards tight deadlines on multiple projects in a fast paced work environment
