Senior Accountant (R2R)
The role will be based in Joo Koon and is with a leading European MNC. This role reports into the Chief Accountant.
Responsibilities:
- Secure end-to-end process for 2 legal entities
- Perform bank reconciliations and bookkeeping activities
- Prepare weekly cash forecasts and monthly cash flow analysis
- Prepare month-end closing journals and ensure on-time and accurate management reporting by Accounting Services team based in India
- Support group function to post month-end journals and their annual budgeting exercise
- Perform regular Balance Sheet Review in Blackline system
- Payment verification
- Prepare audited financial statements and annual XBRL filing
- Preparation of quarterly TP scorecard and yearly TP reconciliation
- Preparation of board paper meeting materials on a quarterly basis
- Prepare and submit quarterly GST and monthly WHT filings
- Partial preparation of corporate tax schedules
- Superuser for employee reimbursement claim system - ChromeRiver (including liaising with consultant, system testing and etc)
- Digitalization champion initiating and implementing automation/improvement on current processes
- Attend to queries from the CFO, Group Accounting, auditors or tax agent
- Assist with any other adhoc / miscellaneous accounting work or projects (for examples: feeder system testing, internal control testing and etc)
Requirements:
- Degree in Accountancy, ACCA or equivalent
- Audit experience is a must have
- Hands on SAP accounting experience is a requirement
- At least 5+ years of experience in similar capacity
- Competence with FRS standards and annual new developments
- Result oriented and with strong sense of responsibility to meet tight deadlines
- Good communication and interpersonal skill
- Ability to work in cross-functional and multi-cultural environment
- Meticulous, able to work independently and a good team player
