Key responsibilities:
- Originate and develop new business opportunities in floating logistics, transhipment, and barging.
- Lead end-to-end deal execution including structuring, negotiation, and closure.
- Monitor market trends and provide insights to inform strategic planning.
- Build and maintain long-term client and stakeholder relationships.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure operational readiness and service delivery.
- Represent the organisation at industry forums and client engagements.
- Support development of new services aligned with client and market demands.
- Travel extensively across Africa and the GCC to support business activities.
- Commercial modelling and risk management expertise
- Identify, structure, and close logistics deals in Africa and the GCC
- Build company's commercial presence in the dry bulk segment
- Drive market insights and strategic recommendations
- Manage external client relationships and internal project handovers
Ideal Candidate requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Maritime, Engineering, or related field (MBA is a plus)
- 10–15+ years of experience in business development or commercial roles within shipping, dry bulk logistics, commodity trading, or related sectors
- Deep understanding of commodity logistics and floating logistics operations
- Proven track record in executing complex transhipment and barging deals
- Strong negotiation and commercial structuring capabilities
- Market knowledge of Africa and the GCC regions
