Technical Superintendent (Oil Tanker)
Location: Singapore
Key Responsibilities:

Plan, control and execute all activities connected with maintenance, repairs, dry-docking, conversion or modification of assigned vessels.

Provide technical advice and support to the assigned fleet of vessels; participate in projects relating to technical, energy-efficiency, logistics/purchasing and crewing related activities of the fleet.

Prepare and manage budgets for the assigned vessels; ensure all assigned vessels comply with regulatory requirements and legislation.

Monitor and control the ship’s technical maintenance and certification of assigned vessels.

Check status of PMS (Planned Maintenance System) in relation to overdue maintenance and schedule works on a monthly basis.

Arrange, follow up and report technical support of specialized engineers if necessary.

Supervise and report dry-docking works/substantial repairs, verify compliance with approved specifications, check work reliability and review invoices.

Examine machinery performance, bunker/lube oil analysis and highlight non-conformities and recommendations.

On-board vessel inspection visits: review undertaken works, examine vessel conditions, report deficiencies, update class survey status and flag administration certificates.
Requirements / Qualifications:

Must hold a Chief Engineer’s Certificate (COC1) or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years shore-based experience as Technical Superintendent, plus seagoing experience as Chief Engineer preferred.

Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and stakeholders.

Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.\
